Leatherman Warranty Update

I received the Leatherman tools on 01/14/2014 as well as a Streamlight Protac 2AA (review on that later). The Wave feels like my other wave came with a nylon (?) sheath nothing new here. But the xes6 it did not come with a sheath and the pliers feel tight in their compartment. Tight to the point that it doesn't snap shut kind of just stiffly closes hopefully it will just break in and I don't have to sell it. It's been what a week when I posted I wanted my next review to be the Shrade SCHF1sm but prepared mind 101 showed a teaser of their catalog and they're releasing a lot of cool shit this year. So the next review will be either on the Leatherman xe6 or Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers (what a mouthful). So until next time have fun, stay safe and chew more bubblegum!

Or kickass Kirby does both.

Videogame Review: Trace Memory

So this is going to be a post on a video game no idea which I was thinking of putting up a poll but... Well not kid ourselves I'm the only one hear so... Oh  I'll use Backloggery's fortune cookie thing! And holy christ monkey balls it's Trace Memory! I was hoping for Golden sun but I just re-got and replayed this game fairly recently so everything's pretty fresh in my mind.

Alright let's see (reads from empty piece of paper) this game was made by Cing bloody good company sad they filed for bankruptcy in 2010 and closed shortly after. They made a lot of good games a small list : Again (playing that right now), Hotel Dusk room 215 and well those are the only ones I played so Wikipedia link.

Protagonist and ds I mean DTS.
God I suck at writing...anyway Trace Memory is a point and click adventure sort of game with an aerial view. The gist of the story is you play as Ashley Robbins who is turning 14 (trust me it was a lot less weird when I played this years ago) who was raised by her aunt because her mother was murdered and her father presumed dead. I believe it was a few days before her birthday she receives a DTS (it's a bloody DS i tell you) from her father with a not telling her to come to Blood Edwards Island. I don't really want to spoil but this game may or may not: contain a DS, kidnap, hungry eyes, creepy uncle figure, memory manipulation, and/or a ghost kid from the 50's or was it 60's?
Could I have done a better job on this review? Probably. Should you play this game? Yes I'm surprised you don't have a tab to amazon open yet. Until next time have fun, stay safe, and rock out with your cock out! (just not in front of children...I'm looking at you Bill.)

Leatherman Warranty

So today I sent in a Leatherman Wave Original and a Juice XE6 to well leatherman for warranty. I realize now as I write this that I'm an idiot for not photographing the multitools. Well too bad so sad lets just say they were pretty fucked up the wave's main blade had been snapped off which was really it's only problem. As for the juice it's pretty bad the corkscrew is bent because if you open it you have to open the bottle opener and if you don't open that it'll bend too (suprise it's also bent). The scales are very faded and scratched more of a pinkish lavender than a grapey purple. So let's see what shall I do for a picture...?

Until next time have fun, stay safe, and save the princess
or don't watevs I won't judge.

Leatherman Juice S2

To start off let me say that I've only had the Leatherman Juice S2 for about a month now. While that's nothing to nutnfancy's I'm gonna say 5 years just hear me out. I was carrying before this a Leatherman Wave which is a good multitool but a heavy one (8.8 oz). While that weight is fine for my edc bag it's pretty damn big for my pocket.

This is an orange Juice S2 (mine's "storm" grey). It is 3.25 in closed weighs 4.4 oz and comes in grey (all juices do not sure about the SX though) and orange. Tools accessible from outside are the knife which is 420HC and is a shape nutn couldn't describe it's 2.6 inches long. It also has bottle/can opener and a nice set of scissors. On the inside we have needlenose/regular pliers w/ wire cutters, 1 Phillips head, 3 sizes of flathead a medium, small, extra small, and last but not least the lanyard ring.

I'm no expert at knife sharpening but the blade get's pretty sharp it's also big enough for most if not all edc tasks and if you look at the way the pops out the tool doesn't get in the way of cutting like some other multitools it's a snap lock so no prybaring. The can opener works but seems to strain the tool a little but opens bottles damn nice. I haven't had much need for the flat heads yet but watch out when you pull them out the buggers are sharp, I don't use the phillips very often but it seems to be fairly sturdy. The pliers I don't use very much except for the occasional bolt or piece of bent metal. That's about what I use it for very little might as well not even carry it and as soon as I need it bam! I'll look like an idiot scratching my head.

Now as far as I can say from what little I've experienced with this tool. I would get one (hell I already got one) they're 40ish buck on amazon I got mine for 20 used. It seem to have almost everything you'd need except a file I know the XE6 has one, the KF4 has one too but it's discontinued and has no bottle opener. Maybe I'll check them out and let you know whether it's good or sucks ass. In the end the S2 is almost perfect but still the best Juice in the long run. Until next time people who pity read this have fun, stay safe and kill mo' monsters.

Intro Post

This is really just something I'm doing for my benefit. In a nutshell I'll be posting my thoughts on gear and the occasional video game. As for my first review I'm probably going to do the Leatherman Juice S2.
